Owain is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney who has worked with national and multi-national clients across a broad range of sectors including energy and gas, pharmaceuticals, retail, entertainment, gaming and gambling.
He has experience in all areas of trade mark prosecution from initial brand clearance through to devising and executing international trade mark filing strategies. In addition, Owain handles contentious trade mark disputes, including trade mark opposition proceedings and has experience of negotiating coexistence agreements. Owain also has also managed global trade mark assignment projects and has undertaken large pre-completion due diligence exercises.
Owain holds an Honours degree in Cell Biology from the University of Manchester, where he graduated in 2008. He went on to complete two postgraduate legal courses (GDL & LPC) before obtaining the PGCert in Trade Mark Law and Practice at Queen Mary University of London and a PGCert in Trade Mark Practice at Nottingham Trent University, qualifying as a trade mark attorney in 2016.
Owain first joined Wildbore & Gibbons in 2012, before re-locating and joining a trade marks team at a full service international law firm. He returned to Wildbore & Gibbons shortly after it became part of Potter Clarkson LLP on 1 September 2018.
